FAQs

THERMOFLEX MF is a polymer-modified waterproofing membrane obtained from the modification of distilled bitumen with poly-olefin based co-polymers. The modified compound makes THERMOFLEX MF an easy to apply membrane that requires low consumption of gas and has excellent adhesion properties that ensure, when the membrane is properly installed, very good bonding and tightness of all joints and overlaps. The carrier is a composite polyester stabilised with longitudinal glass yarns that provide very good dimensional stability and prevent problems of shrinkage caused by weathering in time. THERMOFLEX MF has a mineral slate granule finish, grey, on the upper face of the membrane offering a self protection system. The mineral slate granule finish is 4,5kg/m². The lower face of THERMOFLEX MF is backed by a special polyethylene burn-off film which melts during torching and prevents the roll from sticking to itself. The correct application temperature is visible from the embossed surface of the membrane which is below the burn off film, when the correct application temperature is reached, this embossment melts, also helping vapour diffusion and avoiding blistering. The upper side also has a 100mm burn off film of mineral free track line which allows for the alignment of the side laps and heat fusion to occur quicker and easier during application. THERMOFLEX MF offers a high static and dynamic puncture resistant, good tensile strength, both longitudinal and transversal, ultimate elongation and exceptional dimensional stability.
